If you are reading this, you might be part of a school or a program that is looking for ways to market your school and increase enrollment without breaking the bank. Well, look no further, because you have come to the right place.
When you think of the word “viral” what comes to mind? Well, if you deal with children, you might think of anything that has to do with the sniffles. Not in this scenario though. Another area where the term viral is used is when we are talking about the internet. The internet is a vehicle to drive parents to your end goal – which is your doorstep and filling out applications for your school or program.
Very few schools are using the internet as a means of advertising and marketing – and the ones that start will certainly begin seeing the advantages and results right away, if done correctly.
I am not referring to a website. While some schools don’t have websites, and you know who you are, that is a great first start. But the real marketing is what schools and programs have beyond their website as a vehicle to market their school.
Do you know that you are reading an article right now? Do you know that it was absolutely free for me to write this article for you to read? Do you know that you can write an article, for free, about something specific and special about your school or program that you are involved in? For instance, let’s say your school or program is in San Jose, California and you have an amazing science program that blows other science programs out of the water when compared to yours. If I am a parent who is looking for science programs in San Jose, CA and I go to Google and type in “best science program in San Jose”, am I going to find an article or something about your school in the top of the search results of Google? This is what I am talking about here. If your school or program does not show up in those results, you can easily learn how to make that happen. It will happen very easily and very quickly. If it is not science and it is another area, that is great. The more you can find to distinguish your school and make it shine, the better. What will happen is that parents will search the internet for aspects that your school offers. If they find your school and not others, they will most likely call you and then you will really be on your way to increase enrollment.
