7 Reasons Why Thesis Theme is the Best WordPress Theme for Business

I have used many many WordPress themes over the past 5 years…

The majority of these have been great in terms of design but not so good when it came to SEO (search engine optimisation).

Finally, I have discovered a theme which has an easy to navigate back-end, a slick design and most importantly – excellent SEO characteristics… Thesis for WordPress.

As you may or may not know, the Thesis Theme was created by Chris Pearson – I’ve been following his work for some time and really enjoy his blog pearsonified.com. Thesis is used by famous bloggers such as Rae Hoffman, Matt Cutts at Google, SEO guru Michael ‘Graywolf’ Gray and super-affiliate Rosalind Gardner.

7 Reasons Why I Chose The Thesis Theme For My Business Website…

  1. It is rock solid. I recently installed a leading ‘drag and drop’ theme for a client and spent 3 hours trying to get my hands on a version that would actually save my changes… not a great way to start! Their forums were buzzing with complaints as well… a strong indication of potential pain in the future. Thesis on the other hand has been a dream from the outset. It does what it says. Please bear in mind that it is not a drag and drop solution though…
  2. Great spacing and typography. Chris has a great handle on style, usability and layout – check out his blog to see what I mean. Out of the box, the Thesis design is professional and slick – with an hour of customisation it will soon take on your desired personality. Also take into account that there are numerous skins available for thesis – you can check them out here.
  3. SEO optimised. Ditch your SEO plugin – Thesis has numerous built-in SEO functions and is designed to outperform all other themes when it comes to getting Google juice. The days of worrying about your in-site SEO are over—with this theme, your strategy is “just add killer content.”
  4. Easy to customise. There are a heap of options in the Admin Panel that makes it easy to customize your theme without needing to go in and change a lot of code in your templates. For example, you can change your column layout from 3 to 2 in 10 seconds – it’s that easy…
  5. Idiot Proof. Yes, sometimes I can be an idiot ;) changing code, forgetting to back-up because I’m in a rush… this can lead to major heart-ache. Thesis is idiot proof because all changes are made in custom files outside of the code that runs the website. Hence if you make a mistake you are covered… phew…
  6. Regular Updates and a commitment to CANI. Anothony Robbins coined the terms CANI (Constant and Never Ending Improvement) – it’s become a bit of a motto for my life and I love finding businesses that live this philosophy – having read Chris’ blog for some time – I know that he does and Thesis benefits from this commitment to learn and improve. By the way Thesis has recently been updated to version 1.7. New features include further SEO optimisation, save and restore the Thesis Options from other installs, faster page-load speeds, new home-page controls, included javascript libraries… and much more!
  7. Free upgrades and lifetime support. When you buy Thesis you get support via their helpful forum, an answers section, tutorials (articles and videos) and also free upgrades of the theme for life. Great support is definitely a key feature of this theme.
