WordPress, for anyone who doesn’t know, is a freely available blogging software which can be installed on your own domain. This platform is tremendously popular, not only because it is free to use, but also because third-party developers can create plug-ins for it to expand the functionality.
Among the thousands of available plug-ins, there are several that can deliver content to your blog automatically. This means that you can create a niche blog that you can monetize using AdSense or any other passive means, and have content delivered on a consistent basis with little to no interaction on your part. Below is information on three such plug-ins:
Unique Article Wizard (UAW) is a freely available plug-in. This service charges content creators to have their content delivered to potentially thousands of sites around the internet. The interface is fairly simple, giving you some ability to control the number of articles delivered per day, and allowing content to be posted automatically or as a draft to be reviewed before going live.
The content that is delivered is based upon your blog categories, so you will need to set up categories for every keyword you want to target to ensure you get the articles you desire. Be aware that there is no human review of any articles submitted, which means that you will probably want to at least check on the content being posted regularly and delete anything that is unsuitable for your site.
Caffeinated Content is a paid plug-in that can also automate the delivery of content to your WordPress blog. It differs from UAW in the sources it uses for content, as well as its ability to perform other management tasks such as formatting text through templates.
Using the plug-in can be a bit more manual than UAW. It requires you to walk through steps to find and configure the content to be posted. However, once these steps are done, your blog can continue to update for as long as you have set it to do so.
WP Robot is another paid plug-in for delivering content. Similar to Caffeinated Content, it uses several different sources for the content it delivers. It is also highly configurable and easy to use.
This plug-in is the most expensive of the group, but it also offers the most features. It is also available in different modules, which can be purchased separately, so that you can buy only those parts you wish to use.
It is important to note here that much of the content that is delivered through these plug-ins may be duplicate content that can be found on other sites throughout the web. While this is not in and of itself a bad thing, it can hurt your reputation with the search engines. To avoid this, and to add more value to your potential readers, you should be sure to include unique content that you’ve created or had created. This can be scheduled to post along with the other content to further automate the process.
